Through Covered Bridges of Putnam County Festival Starts the 2nd Friday in October, runs for 10 days at Bainbridge This festival was started in the fall of 2009 and has replaced our Blast from the Past that was always in June. Do to our school having graduation the weekend of our festival now we have moved to October and changed our festival name. This is our main money maker for the Friends of the Park. Money raised goes to help continue our FREE summer fun in the sun programs in the Park's for the children of the community while they are on summer vacation. Such as craft days, reading days, drug awareness and fitness days. We also provide free lunches to all who attend. We have over 150 vendor spaces available, all spaces are outside in the grass. There will be a Car & Truck Show on the opening Sunday. Friends of the Park has a food booth and we serve kettle beans, homemade chili, smoked sausages, taco salads along with homemade desserts and drinks, the proceeds from the food booth also helps to keep the organization and Summer fun going ```````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` We host Drug Awareness Education during National Red Ribbon Week October 23 - 31 on the last Saturday of October we end the week by having an educational day for the community with law enforcement and others to interact with the community. We have a Free will offering Chili Dinner at the Roachdale Community Park or if weather is not cooperating we move to a building in the town as part of the Red Ribbon Day/Fall Finale and the proceeds from the free will offering go into our Red Ribbon Week Fund. ````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` |
