| 2 fundraisng events are: Through our "Blast from the Past, June fest, 1st weekend in June This is our main money maker for the summer. Money raised goes to help continue our summer fun in the sun programs in the Park's for the children of the community while they are on summer vacation. Such as craft days, reading days, drug awareness and fitness days. We have several vendors inside and out. there is a queen contest and and a Car Show on Saturday. Saturday night at dust is fireworks, On Sunday we have Church services along with several fun things going on all weekend. Friends of the Park has a food booth and we serve Pork loin sandwiches, and kettle baked beans along with homemade desserts and drinks, the proceeds from the food booth also helps to keep the organization and Summer fun going Fathers day Cookout and Car Show goes to 2 funds, Children's Summer Programs Fund, for the children of the community while they are on summer vacation. Such as craft days, reading days, and fitness days. Red Ribbon Week Fund, to continue drug education, purchase needed items to hand out to the children and adults the week of October 23 - 31. ``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` We host Drug Awareness Education during National Red Ribbon Week October 23 - 31 on the last Saturday of October we end the week by having an educational day for the community with law enforcement and others to interact with the community. We have a Free will offering Chili Dinner at the Roachdale Community Park as part of the Red Ribbon Day/Fall Finale and the proceeds from the free will offering go into our Red Ribbon Week Fund. `````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` The Children's flag corp. host: Flag Ceremony in June at the Blast from the Past June Fest at Bainbridge, Fathers Day Cookout in June at Roachdale, Childrens Flag Ceremony in July at Russellville, End of Summer Luau in August at Russellville. |
